Review: Fastrack Bottle Dryer
The Fastrack bottle dryer is really just a few trays with holes and a drain pan. It doesn’t sound like much but it makes bottle cleaning very easy. They are better than a bottle tree because nothing touches the inside of the bottle. Each tray holds up to twenty-four standard 12oz bottles or twelve 22oz bombers. I’ve safely stacked them two trays high for standard bottles but I wouldn’t double stack bombers.
The Fastrack bottle dryer saves both time and counter space. Just do a quick wash after pouring your beer and put the bottle in a slot. The bottle will drain out and be hidden away where ever you store your fastrack. These are great when removing bottle labels or tough sediment because any residue from your cleaner will drip off. I’ve used OxiClean free and Star San many times without them harming the plastic.
The best use for these is on your bottling day in conjunction with a sulfiter. I can easily sanitize a full tray of 24 bottles and start filling like an assembly line. I know it’s safe but I prefer for most of the Star San to drain out before filling. As a bonus, it really cuts down on the foaming with the excess sanitizer drained out. I’ll probably buy another one soon for my family as I have trouble getting them to clean bottles properly.
I recently noticed they make a version of these that do automatic bottle washing. Keep these in mind if you do a lot of bottling.
- Touch-free dry rack
- Fits multiple sizes
- Easy to clean
- Easily catches and contains liquids
- Won’t fit wider short bottles
- Double stacking anything other than standard 12oz bottles is unsafe
