Jim’s Fear The Walking Dead Beer Recipe
You might have seen a beer recipe recently featured on Fear the Walking Dead. It’s the perfect post-apocalyptic recipe being that is a Saison based recipe. I’d assume at least one of the writers knows how to brew beer or has a brewer friend. No spoilers are included for those who are behind.

We were given the majority of the recipe minus a special ingredient. Sadly we’ll never know that, but we’ve got a good enough blueprint to get a recipe going. Hopefully, we’ll see more homebrew popping up on the Walking Dead and other mainstream shows.

Special Ingredient?:
Your guess is as good as mine.
This recipe was calculated for a 5.5 gallon batch from the kettle at a 65% efficiency. The hops aren’t super specific but the ones I figured into the recipe make sense in a post-apocalyptic environment where preservation is key. Shoot a comment if you think you think you know the special ingredient or have tried the recipe. On a side note, I haven’t brewed a Saison yet so take the recipe with a grain of salt.
Here are a few starting points for Walking Dead fans that landed here but haven’t homebrewed beer yet. Make sure to check out your local homebrew store if you have one.
